Birth of Berths 8 & 9 At The Port Of Felixstowe

  FXT Port new extension, the dredging has all been but completed yesterday 11th August 2014, some photos are from Landguard viewpoint, others are from the Firing Butts or Icky Ridge  the piling to create the extension to Berths 8 & 9 has commenced, some photos are from Landguard viewpoint, others are from the Firing Butts or Icky Ridge  



 The Winter edition of Port of Felixstowe News 2014:

The winter edition of 'Waterfront' 2014  [The Port of FXT magazine] states that 111 tubular steel pilings are to be used in the construction of berth #9, these are 36 metres long, 2.36 metres in diameter and weigh 43 tonnes
