This is a plea to all Felixstowe folk that are passionate about wildlife

This is a plea to all Felixstowe folk that are passionate about wildlife especially birds. Passionate enough to give up some of their free time to come and help the Landguard Ranger monitor the nesting Ringed Plovers at Landguard Nature Reserve. You don't have to be passionate or have any bird knowledge but perhaps you would just like to help out the cause at your Local Nature Reserve? If you think that you might have the ability to confront a dog walker and ask them to put their dog on a lead where required so much the better. If we have as many people as possible stopping dog walkers and persuading them to put their dogs on leads, the Ringed Plovers might have some chance of successfully breeding.

  1. Not only should lose dogs be discouraged but also kite flyers and now drone operators too, who cause disturbance to birds.
