Fire was reported in a container or containers on board of mega boxship MSC KATRINA early in the morning Nov 20, vessel was in Elbe estuary en route from Antwerp to Hamburg. Two injured crew were medevaced by a helicopter. At 1300 UTC Nov 20 MSC KATRINA was under way southwest of Helgoland, proceeding towards Coxhaven at reduced speed of some 9 knots, escorted by anti pollution ship NEUWERK (IMO 9143984). According to Havariekommando m.fl., charcoal in one of the containers is smoldering, with a lot of heat and smoke. No other information available at the moment.
