At the Port of Felixstowe we are launching our Future Leaders programme for 2015. The aim is to identify dynamic, self-motivated individuals to supplement our existing talent pipeline and support the successful candidates to build the knowledge and skills to progress in our business.
The Port of Felixstowe, as Britain’s biggest and busiest container port, and one of the largest in Europe, has 2500 employees and is capable of handling the largest container ships operating in the world today. The business is owned and operated by Hutchison Ports UK (HPUK), a member of the Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH) Group.
This exciting programme offers the right candidates the chance to accelerate their career through an in-depth understanding of all aspects of port operations. With opportunities in Engineering, Operations Management and Commercial teams, and exposure to all areas of the wider business, the programme will provide the platform to enhance your development in a dynamic and competitive industry.
The successful candidates will be educated to degree level, minimum of a 2:1; one to two years’ work experience is desirable but not essential. Critically, we are also looking for individuals with the right attributes to succeed in a team environment with the ambition and drive to excel.
In return you will be offered a starting salary of £27,000 per annum plus benefits. The two-year structured programme will provide the opportunity to build your knowledge of our business and the wider industry, as well as grow your leadership skills for future career moves. As part of a global group, successful applicants may have the opportunity to build networks across the globe and even gain experience of working at other HPH Group ports.
