Felixstowe installs real-time media screens

Britain’s biggest and busiest port, the Port of Felixstowe, has installed a public area display system (PADS) courtesy of audio-visual specialist Anders and Kern (A+K).

Felixstowe required a quick and efficient system to provide real-time data to some 75% of staff who work detached from computers.
By installing 26 ‘media screens’ throughout reception, break areas and communal spaces, Felixstowe has provided a facility for its staff with which they can chart actual progress against targets, acquire information on incoming vessels, monitor changes to operations, and even check the weather.
A+K stated that in a busy and evolving sector, PADS is designed to bridge the gap between staff knowledge and industry changes.
